Define User Classes

Create user classes to optimize customization for the WilsonWeb, as well as tracking usage statistics.

Defaults

Choose between the Advanced Search, Basic Search, Browse or Thesaurus as your Default Search Screen.	Advanced Search

Referring Sites

Customize the URL users will be directed to after 15 minutes of inactivity or when they click on the Exit Program Button.

Navigational Button Text
Customize in English.
Select from options in English and other languages.

Customize the Basic Search, Advanced Search, Browse, Thesaurus, Search History and the Print, Email, Save buttons. Choose from several English language options as well as Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Portuguese.

Toolbars (Miscellaneous buttons/links

Typing in any new value a user wants can customize the options that appear in the miscellaneous buttons/links of WilsonWeb.

Co-Branding

Load up to 2 custom logos onto the WilsonWeb interface, which will be seen on the upper right-hand side of the search screens. Each logo can be made into a hyperlink to a desired URL.

Custom Links

Add up to three custom links to any websites, which will appear at the top of the search screen, plus will be listed in the Quick links dropdown menu at the top right of each screen.

Email Message

A message can be created by the library that will accompany each email sent through WilsonWeb (max. 200 characters/spaces). The text can include a hyperlink to a site of the library's choice.

Access

IP Addresses Access

After a range of IP addresses has been submitted to Wilson Technical Support, use this feature to then assign those IP addresses to User Classes for added customization and seamless access.

Patron ID Access

Submit a range of Patron IDs to Wilson Technical Support, and use this feature to then assign those ID numbers to User Classes for added customization and seamless access to the WilsonWeb.

Database Access
Access to all databases granted

Grant or Restrict access to databases by User Class.

Restrict Functions
No Functions

Grant or Restrict Print, Email, Save and Search History function by User Class.

Dynamic Holdings

Choose the library’s OPAC Query Name from a list of over 100 different choices. Customize the Dynamic Holdings icon, icon label text, and alternate text.

WilsonLink

Predefined Link Menu #1

WilsonWeb offers three pre-defined link menu options (Menu 1, 2, and 3) which are produced using SFX link server technology from Ex Libris (USA) Inc. Link seamlessly to other sources of Full Text direct from the WilsonWeb or enter library’s link server if the library already has its own. No link server desired is also a choice.

Next to which type of records the logo appears is customizable (full text, non-full text, book citation).

Customize the Link Menu Icon, Icon Menu Icon Label and the Link Menu Icon Alternate Text.

InterLibrary Loan

WilsonWeb offers a link out to the library’s own ILL form.

Customize the ILL Icon, the Icon Label, and the Icon Alternate Text.

Proxy Server

For those using a proxy server, a prepend may be added for each query search string.
