10. User Classes > Configuration > Referring Sites

The Referring Sites screen allows the administrator to assign Referring Sites to a specific User Class from a given set of Referring Sites established by the library. Once assigned to a Referrer page, the access values will be displayed for any user accessing from the Referrer page.

To review currently listed Referring Sites:

1. Select the User Class from the drop-down list.
   The Current Referring Sites box lists those Referring Sites already assigned.

2. The Available Referring Sites box lists those Referring Sites available for assignment as defined by the HW Wilson Access Control system.

3. Add or remove a site for this User Class by selecting from the list and clicking Grant or Restrict. Grant gives the User Class a Referring Site, and Restrict removes a Referring Site from a User Class.

4. Click Save.

Each of the available URLs acts as a base; any address at a lower level from the base will be given access. For example, if a site with the URL http://www.hwwilson.com/time is on the list of Current Referring Sites, then the URL http://www.hwwilson.com/time/example.htm would have access to WilsonWeb, however, the URL http://www.hwwilson.com would not.
