8. User Classes > Configuration > Define User Classes
This is the screen on which the administrator will define User Classes.
First, click Configuration. Several appropriate buttons will then
appear on the left toolbar, including the Define User Classes
button. Then, click Define User Classes. In order to perform any
activities on a User Class, the Class (or Group) must first be defined.
The Define User Classes screen enables the administrator to both
create and delete User Classes.
To create a User Class:
-
Enter the name for the new User Class.
-
Click Create.
The application will return a message that lets you know whether the
process was successful. Once the new User Class has been created, it will
be given all the default values and licenses for the customer.
The User Class is now ready for access designation via TCPIP, Patron ID,
or Referrer page.
To delete a User Class:
-
Select a User Class from the drop-down list.
-
Click Delete.
