System Requirements
The recommended minimum hardware requirements for WilsonWeb for CD-ROM are
as follows:
Installing WilsonWeb for CD-ROM
Installation of WilsonWeb for CD-ROM software will not overwrite the
existing version of WilsonDisc for Windows. WilsonWeb for CD-ROM software
is included on your most recent data disc or can be
downloaded.

At the Run dialog box, type d:run, where d:
is the drive containing the CD-ROM.

Click OK, the H W Wilson Welcome Screen appears.

Click Yes, the Select Components Screen appears.

Select WilsonWeb for CD-ROM, click Next.
Note: You will have the option to install
WilsonWeb for CD-ROM, WilsonDisc for Windows, or The Journal Holdings
Conversion Utility. If you want to install the Journal Holdings Conversion
Utility you will need to run the installation program twice–once for
WilsonWeb for CD-ROM and once for the JHCU (please refer to your JHCU
Users Guide for installation instructions).
Note: WilsonWeb for CD-ROM requires that your
system be configured for Dial-up networking and TCP/IP connection.
WilsonWeb for CD-ROM will automatically check your system for the required
configuration.
The following message box appears on your screen if the
required configurations are not present:
"WilsonWeb for CD-ROM did not detect the proper
configuration needed. To continue, select the OK button to setup
your configuration, or Cancel to exit."
If no message appears, no special configurations are
needed. Proceed with step 6.

Select OK to continue with the installation and
have WilsonWeb for CD-ROM help you set up the required configuration.
Changes will not affect your network connection or Internet access. To
continue with the installation, you are required to have your Operating
System disc (Windows 95/98 or NT installation disc).
Select Cancel if you do not wish to continue installing the
WilsonWeb for CD-ROM software. A Windows-based application that does not
require any special configuration is also available to you. Select the
Run.exe file again, and from the Select Components Screen, select the
WilsonDisc For Windows option.

A Welcome Screen appears. Click Next. The
WilsonWeb for CD-ROM license agreement appears.

To continue, click Accept. The select
Installation Type Screen will appear.

The Select Destination Folder Screen appears. To
install the WilsonWeb for CD-ROM software in a different directory other
than the default, or install on a network directory, select Browse
and choose your installation directory. Click Next when ready.
Note: If you are installing WilsonWeb for CD-ROM on a network: click on
the Browse button, and then click on the Network button.
Select the network directory in which you want to install WilsonWeb for
CD-ROM. (For example: H:\APPS\WilsonWebforCD-ROM)

At the Select Program Folder Screen, choose a name for
this Program Folder or you can accept the default WilsonWeb for CD-ROM.

Click Next, the Start Copying Files Screen
appears. Please confirm all settings and click Next.
Note: A message box will appear reminding you to have your
Operating System disc (Windows 95/98 or NT installation disc) available
before you continue.

Click OK to continue.
Setup will start installing the software on your computer. You will be
prompted to enter your Operating System disc (Windows 95/98 or NT disc)
into your CD-ROM. Setup will copy all required files.

Click Finish to complete the WilsonWeb for
CD-ROM installation.
WilsonWeb for CD-ROM requires that you set up a TCP/IP
connection. Installing the TCP/IP connection will NOT affect your network
or Internet access. To do so, follow the instructions below:
Windows 95/98 Users:

From the Start Menu, select Setting and
Control Panel.

Click Network.
-
Click Add.
-
Click Protocol and Add.
-
Click Microsoft and TCP/IP.
-
Click OK.
Your system will prompt you to insert your Operating System disc
(Windows 95/98 installation disc).

Click OK.
Your system will prompt you to reboot, click OK.
Windows NT Users:
Add Microsoft Loopback Adapter and TCP/IP Protocol:

Click Control Panel.
-
Click Network.
-
Click Adapters.
-
Click Add.
-
Click MS Loopback adapter.
-
Click OK. Click Frame type (use the default).
-
Click OK. Click Continue.
-
Click Protocols.
-
Click Add – TCP/IP Protocol.
-
Click OK.
Your system will prompt you to insert your Operating System disc
(Windows NT installation disc).

Click OK.
Your PC will reboot, click OK.
