Index to Legal Periodicals Retrospective Expanded by
Ten More Years!
Now with ten additional years of coverage, Index to
Legal Periodicals Retrospective: 1908-1981 allows users to search law
periodicals as far back as 1908, the HW Wilson Company has announced.
Based on the classic print reference Index to Legal Periodicals & Books,
this unique WilsonWeb database makes more than 70 years of periodicals
research available for educators, students, law professionals and others,
with indexing of publications 1908 through 1981.
Index to
Legal Periodicals Retrospective: 1908-1981 covers over 850 noted
publications from the U.S., Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, Australia and
New Zealand. Cover-to-cover indexing includes book reviews and case
citations. In addition to periodicals, annual surveys of the laws of a
jurisdiction, annual surveys of the federal courts, yearbooks, and annual
reviews of the work in a given field are also indexed.
Subject terms (which may have changed over the years)
and personal and corporate names have been standardized, ensuring
retrieval of all records on a given subject. Original subject headings
have been retained as "Historical Subjects," preserving the full value of
the data as a historical source, and providing insight into the way issues
of the day were framed. Both current and historical headings are
searchable. Researchers can use this database to search by court case
(over 125,000 cases), as well as by title, author, journal, keyword,
document type, and more.
Seamless links to full-text articles on a subscriber's
other OpenURL compliant databases (including HeinOnline), plus library
holdings messages and document-delivery links make finding the actual
articles easy. Index to Legal Periodicals Retrospective: 1908-1981
can also be searched simultaneously with Wilson's Index to Legal
Periodicals Full Text database, for a century of law research at a
keystroke.
