Announcing the new WilsonWeb CX Edition!
As we have been promising, The HW Wilson Company is
happy to announce the release of its new WilsonWeb “frameless”
interface. Much customer input, thought, and testing have contributed to
the production of this new WilsonWeb system. We feel certain that
librarians and library patrons will agree that the WilsonWeb CX
Edition offers many new enhancements that make WilsonWeb an even
better source for “relevant” information. Be assured that we have
retained many of the strong characteristics of the former WilsonWeb so
that you will see much that is still familiar, making the transition to
this new interface seamless.
Among the enhancements you will see when trying the
new interface, are the following:

New frameless
interface for quicker loading of screens.

New enhanced layout and
graphics for an updated look and feel. If you have a biography
database, the Art Museum Image Gallery database, or one of our
Current Issues databases, you will see wonderful new improvements in
how information is displayed. Also, although we have selected the
familiar blue & yellow color scheme as the default setting for the
interface, you may also choose a “bodacious” new red interface for
your library, if desired.

New navigational
features that will make the finding of information easier, faster
and more successful. For example, you will see new clickable tabs at
the top of the search results that allow for the narrowing of search
results to include full text when available, peer-reviewed articles,
etc. Also, notice the new dual use text entry box at the top of each
search results screen, allowing you to search within your results,
or for constructing an entirely new search.

New for the popular
Suggested Subjects. They are now listed on the left side of your
search results screen and have been expanded, offering additional
subjects that might be of interest.

New simplified Print,
Email, and Save functions. There are now more places within your
search results to print, email or save a record. You can now do
these functions directly on the single view of a citation record.

New easy to use Search
History screen. Combine your searches, create email Alerts and save
searches for later retrieval from this screen.

New translation capability. Translate Full Text
HTML documents from English into French, German, Spanish,
Portuguese, Italian and/or Korean.
Try the new WilsonWeb interface now, or take a
quick look.
