New “Key” Enhancements Added to the WilsonWeb CX
Edition Interface
A Persistent URL for searches is now available.
On the search results page (next to the “Create Alert” link), there is
now a new link called “Link to Search” that will open up and
display the link in the same manner we display the persistent
links to article citations, Full Text HTML or Full Text PDF. These
new Persistent URLs for Searches are placed on the computer’s
clipboard and may then be copied into another application like Word,
Excel or an email, for later retrieval.

The Translation area for Full Text HTML records now
has new graphics.
The popup widow has been made slightly larger upon opening, for easy
viewing. The window may still be expanded by “dragging” the outline of
the window, or clicking on the browser’s Maximize button at the
top of the window, if desired.

A new “Clear Search History” link has been added to
Search History.
This allows the user to clear/delete all searches for the session and
they can, therefore, be removed with a single click.

The Art Museum Image Gallery database has a new
“Gallery View” for the search results.
This provides the viewing of more images at a glance, plus it makes the
viewing of images easier and quicker. Users may also select the familiar
“List View” of the results, if desired.

The images found in the Art Museum Image Gallery in
the “Full display” mode have been realigned.
The images on these search results pages have been moved up within the
record for better viewing of a single image, resulting in less scrolling
required on the part of the user.
All biography databases now have thumbnail images
(if available) located at the bottom of each biography and/or obituary
for a person.
This allows users to see all available images for a person without have
to
make a selection. If there are multiple images available for a person,
the user
can select any one of the images displayed to view the images in a
larger
format.

For all Retrospective databases, the date choice
limiters on the Advanced Search screen have been customized for this
specific database category.
The choice that is appropriate for other databases (Within last 12
months) has been removed, offering a causing less confusion for users.
Some link’s found on the search results pages have
improved test, been improved, for greater clarity.
The text for “Full Display” has been replaced with “Show Full Display”
and the “Back to Brief” link has been updated to say “Show Brief
Display.”
The Bottom navigational bar with links to Basic
Search, Advanced Search, Browse, etc. is now consistent with the top
navigational bar.
A link now selected from either the top bar or the bottom bar will now
reflect the opposite bar with changing link color and text color.
