WilsonDisc is
installed on our AppleShare network and runs fine from the AppleShare server on one
workstation, but gives a disk error on a second workstation. Why?
WilsonDisc for the Mac does not have to be loaded on each
workstation. This error most likely is caused because of an incorrect setup. Go to the Special
Setup in the Wilson folder and make sure that "Run in Shared Mode, Network
Setup" is selected.
The Wilson CD-ROM does
not load on our Mac. It does not recognize the CD-ROM and prompts for the disc to be
initialized. What's wrong?
Check your System folder in Foreign File Access
and make sure that the ISO 9660 File Access and the High Sierra
File Access extensions are there. If they cannot be located, copy these
extensions to the computer.
"Incorrect
software version" generates after a WilsonDisc software update. How come?
If you are trying to copy a WIlson CD-ROM to a Macintosh
network drive, do not do a straight copy. Use a Macintosh disk utility which will copy all
the hidden and/or system files from the Wilson CD-ROM.
How come the year and
date on my Wilson database does not display correctly?
The keyfile located in the HWWSPECIAL folder may need to be
updated. To do this (1) Copy the keyfile from the HWWSPECIAL folder to
the desktop, (2) Make sure the 3 letter code in the keyfile (after the
letter "b") is similar to the 3 letter code (after "HWW") on the
CD-ROM. If it is not the same, rename it so the volume name after the "@" symbol
is the same as the disc volume name, (3) Copy the keyfile back to the
HWWSPECIAL folder. |
