The H.W. Wilson Company ("Company") is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. This statement applies with respect to the information that we collect from the WilsonWeb Subscription site as well as from the Company site located at www.hwwilson.com. Amendments to this statement will be posted at the www.hwwilson.com URL and the URL for the Privacy Policy will be included in the WilsonWeb License. It will be effective when posted. Your continued use of these sites following the posting of any amendment, modification or change shall constitute your acceptance thereof.

I. INFORMATION COLLECTED

We collect non-personally identifiable information about you in a number of ways, including tracking your activities through your IP address, and computer settings. We do not collect any personally identifiable information about you unless you voluntarily submit such information to us, by, for example, registering for use of a database online or filling out a survey or registration form. The types of information that may be requested include your name, address, e-mail address, and telephone number.

II. USE OF INFORMATION

In general, we will only use the information you provide to us for the purpose for which such information was provided. We may also use this information to deliver to you information about our Company and site administration. Your information may also be used to contact you when necessary. You may opt out of receiving future mailings from the Company by following the instructions set forth in the opt out section below.

Usage Records

As you interact with WilsonWeb, your usage patterns are logged. We collect data regarding database(s) accessed, date and time of access, the number of simultaneous users logged in, number of searches performed, the number of searches associated with each IP, subjects searched, and similar data. Unless you have violated the Terms of Use or another applicable Agreement or we are required to do so by law; we only view, analyze, and disclose usage records in aggregated form. We use the data for statistical reporting to the Subscriber’s WilsonWeb Administrator and for Wilson's internal resource planning purposes and analyses of trends.

Wilson does not share this information with anyone outside of H.W.Wilson except for the Subscriber’s WilsonWeb administrator. The administrator must register with Wilson’s Customer Service to receive a special URL for access to the statistics site. Wilson employees who are privy to this information use it only for analysis of usage, and activities related to resource allocation of WilsonWeb.

III. USE OF IP ADDRESSES

The WilsonWeb site logs IP addresses for system administration purposes. Your IP address can help us diagnose problems with our server and track an end-user's session to give us an idea of which parts of our site end-users are visiting.

IV. USE OF COOKIES

We may place a "cookie" or other information gathering device in the browser files of a user's computer. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Cookies enable Wilson to track and target the needs of our users for optimum use of WilsonWeb. We are able to access only the cookies that our sites set on your computer and we are only able to determine the type of computer operating system and browser that you are using. We collect information from cookies and store data in the aggregate. We do not link the information gathered through cookies to personal information that users submit online. Users can set their browsers to reject cookies; however the user may be unable to use portions of WilsonWeb.

V. SECURITY

Our site has industry standard security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. While there is no such thing as "perfect security" on the Internet, we will take all reasonable steps to insure the safety of your personal information.

VI. OTHER WEB SITES; LINKS

The WilsonWeb Subscription site and the Company site at hwwilson.com contain links to other sites. H.W. Wilson is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of every web site that collects personally identifiable information.

VII. CORRECT; UPDATE

The Company allows its users the option to change or modify information previously provided. This may be done by emailing the information to custserv@hwwilson.com.

We will use all reasonable efforts to ensure that your information is removed from or corrected in our records.

VIII. CHOICE; OPT OUT

You may opt out of receiving communications from us, by sending an e-mail to custserv@hwwilson.com.

IX. H.W. WILSON LISTSERV

Wilson hosts an open listserv email discussion group, the Wilson Listserv. It is a forum for users of WilsonWeb and Wilson’s other products, to share information and ideas, to take part in discussions, to solve problems, and to communicate with H.W. Wilson. Anyone with Internet email can easily subscribe to HWWILSON-L.
