Expands Indexing Coverage—Adding 56 Journals!
Coverage has been
strengthened across all subject areas, with emphasis on women’s
studies, religion (especially Asian belief systems), philosophy,
history, cultural studies, and literature. New journals also focus
on Africa, the Middle East, Australia, Germany, India, and the
Pacific Rim.
Titles were selected
with the help of subject specialists on the ALA Reference and User
Services Association’s Committee on Wilson Indexes. All are
scholarly, peer-reviewed journals with SFX-linkable full text.
Nearly all received recommendations from Magazines for
Libraries, 11th Edition or Library Journal.
Coverage of the new
titles began with January 2004 issues, and
generate some 3,500 additional citations per year. The new
journals are also indexed in Humanities Abstracts and Humanities
