READERS' GUIDE Expands Coverage with Full Text &
Indexing of 25 Additional Magazines
New York, New York, January 21st, 2005
The popular periodicals reference database
Readers' Guide Full Text now offers full text coverage, page images,
plus indexing and abstracts for an additional 25 titles, H.W. Wilson
today announced. The select additions were each highly recommended for
periodicals collections by Magazines for Libraries and other review
media. Coverage begins with their first issues published in 2005. Some
3,000 additional records per year are anticipated.
The additions bring the total number of publications
covered by Readers' Guide Full Text to over 400—with 225 of those in
full text. The new magazines will also be added to Readers' Guide
Abstracts and Readers' Guide to Periodical Literature (including the
print edition): abstracts and index-only subsets of the database. See
below for a complete list of the added publications.
For generations, Readers' Guide to Periodical
Literature—the familiar "green books" in reference libraries
nationwide—has helped students and library users with periodicals
research. On WilsonWeb, Readers' Guide databases aid today's generation,
with indexing, abstracts and full text of popular newsstand
publications. Also in the Readers' Guide family, Readers' Guide
Retrospective 1890-1982 brings researchers the richest online archive of
U.S. culture and history available in any single source. Free 30-day
trials are available for libraries and members of the working press.
