Library Literature & Information Science
Retrospective: 1905 - 1983, Wilson's new retrospective index,
will feature Wilson Library Bulletin content from 1914
through 1983--almost 70 years in total. The database also delivers
indexing of more than 1,200 other notable periodicals, plus abundant
article abstracts.
During its tenure, Wilson Library Bulletin
was the leading-edge trade magazine for the library
profession--publisher of the first library column about the internet
("The Internet Café"); first magazine of its type to print the email
addresses of its writers; first to publish Karen Schneider, a
premier columnist on internet technologies for libraries. In its
more than 80 years of service, it also featured contributions from
many of today's most esteemed voices in library science: L. Quincy
Mumford, Jesse Shera, William Eshelman, Art Plotnik, Kathleen Molz,
Eric Moon, Maurice Marchant, Milo Nelson, and others. Wilson
Library Bulletin explored all the innovations, controversies,
trends and historical events that went into the making of modern
librarianship.
