The American Family, new in the Wilson Reference Shelf series, is a guide to the diversity of family lifestyles in the United States today: homes led by divorced or single parents, stepfamilies, interfaith and interracial marriages, gay partnerships, childless couples, the traditional nuclear family, as well as many other domestic structures.
