Administration Honors
New WilsonWeb Among "Top 100 Products of the Year"
New
York, New York, June 20th, 2003
District
Administration, a monthly magazine for K-12 educators, has honored
WilsonWeb with The Districts' Choice Award, naming it one of the Top 100
Products of the Year.
Each year, District Administration recognizes
the best new products for school administrators. Winners are chosen through a
process that includes input from the magazine staff and the editorial advisory
board, and comments from a percentage of the magazine's 75,000 readers.
WilsonWeb,
the H.W. Wilson reference database service, offers access to more than 50
diverse specialty databases in subject areas from science to business, law to
the humanities, biography to the social sciences. Popular WilsonWeb resources
include Readers'
Guide Full Text, OmniFile,
Book Review Digest Plus,
General Science Full
Text and others. WilsonWeb was selected from a field that included
products of all types, from books to web-based tools, to hardware and
software.
This latest
honor comes on the heels of accolades for the new WilsonWeb from both
reviewers and librarians. Library Journal
called the new WilsonWeb "a major leap… The search screen is improved,
searching is tremendously powerful, [and] customization options are
broader."
Released in January
2003, the new WilsonWeb has already added significant features and
enhancements in response to user input. Additional enhancements will be
implemented in 2003.
