BPA Worldwide Affirms Counter Compliancy of WilsonWeb Usage
Reports
Both Content and Format Pass with Flying Colors
New York, New York, June 5, 2008
A recent audit by the media auditing firm BPA Worldwide
reaffirms that WilsonWeb usage reports are compliant, in both
content and format, with the COUNTER Code of Practice for Journals
and Databases. The audit was performed using COUNTER compliant
auditing standards.
The COUNTER project (Counting Online Usage of
NeTworked Electronic Resources) is an international initiative to
establish standards and protocols for the recording and exchange of
online usage data. COUNTER compliancy among reference database
providers such as H.W. Wilson helps librarians more clearly assess
the value of the databases.
WilsonWeb COUNTER usage reports include the
following:
-
Database Report 1 (R2): Searches and Sessions
by Month and Database
-
Database Report 2 (R2): Turnaways by Month and
Database
-
Database Report 3 (R2): Total Searches and
Sessions by Month and Service
-
Journal Report 1 (R2): Number of Successful
Full-Text Article Requests by Month and Journal
Additionally, WilsonWeb offers usage reports
(Database Usage, Session Usage, Peak Usage, Journal Usage, IP Usage,
and Turnaways) based upon ICOLC standards. All can be downloaded as
needed, or automatically every week or month.
WilsonWeb brings libraries more than 60 periodical
