H.W. Wilson
Company Award Goes to Jill Konieczko and Cynthia Powell for Article:
"Information Centers that Innovate" New York, New York, June 7th, 2004 "Information Centers that Innovate" an article that explores what
goes into the making of successful information centers, has earned
this year's H.W. Wilson Company
Award for authors Jill Konieczko, Assistant Director of
Library and Information Services for U.S. News & World Report,
and Cynthia Powell, a Washington, DC, public relations consultant.
The H.W. Wilson Award is presented each year to authors of
outstanding articles from
Information Outlook, the monthly magazine published by
the Special Library Association. "Information Centers that Innovate"
appears in the January 2003 issue.
Konieczko and
Powell will be presented with the award during this year's SLA
Conference (Nashville, Tennessee) at a special banquet set for
Sunday, June 6, 2004, in Nashville's Parthenon Museum. They'll also
receive a check for $500.
H.W. Wilson also
sponsors (with the Library Administration and Management
Association) the John Cotton Dana Awards for outstanding library
public relations.
