H.W. Wilson Databases Add Valuable New Service
New York, New York, August 15, 2005
With just a few clicks, users of WilsonWeb databases can now
create precise, professional bibliographies of articles cited,
thanks to an innovation of
WilsonWeb Version 2.5. WilsonWeb, H.W. Wilson's
web-based information system, formats bibliographic entries
automatically using two popular standards, MLA and APA. Users
save time, errors, and tedium.
Just select articles from your WilsonWeb
search results using the checkboxes. Click to the
Print/Email/Save page and select "brief citation". Choose MLA or
APA format from the dropdown menu, click "save," and your
bibliography is created.
"Bibliographies being such an essential part
of scholarly papers, we felt this was a prime area in which we
could streamline the work of WilsonWeb users," commented
WilsonWeb product manager Bernie Seiler. "We're sure this
innovation will be especially appreciated in university
libraries."
Automatic bibliographic citing is just one of
many enhancements to WilsonWeb introduced with Version 2.5. The
acclaimed reference database service delivers more than 60
popular reference databases, including the new Book Review
Digest Retrospective: 1905-1982, Education Index Retrospective:
1929-1983, and Humanities & Social Sciences Index Retrospective:
1907-1984.
