Now Among WilsonWeb Databases Free for Library Schools
New York, New York, September 4, 2007
The H.W. Wilson Company today reaffirmed its commitment to
training the next generation of library professionals, adding the
acclaimed Science Full Text Select to the list of WilsonWeb
databases free to eligible library schools. Science Full Text
Select delivers the full text of articles from 360 diverse
science periodicals, providing a broad range of important science
literature in a single database. Nearly half of the journals covered
are peer-reviewed. The database also brings users the page images of
articles, including all the charts, graphs, and illustrations
essential to learning in science.
Wilson's Library School Gratis Program also
includes such popular resources as Biography Reference Bank,
Wilson Biographies Plus Illustrated, Book Review Digest Plus,
Readers' Guide Full Text, Mega Edition, and Humanities Full
Text. It's aimed to aid training for students and staff in
information retrieval or reference classes at ALA-accredited library
and information science schools (or others authorized by H.W.
Wilson).
Free subscriptions last a year, at the end of
which they can be renewed. Access is allowed for up to 25
simultaneous users. Beyond the titles mentioned above, other free
subscriptions are available at the discretion of the library
school's H.W. Wilson Regional Sales Representative. Library schools
are also eligible for discounts on select WilsonWeb databases:
administrators are advised to contact their Regional Sales
Representative for details. A list of Regional Sales Representatives
