A respected resource among librarians for more than 80 years, Sears List of Subject Headings brings small and mid-sized libraries a foundation of essential, up-to-date headings, together with patterns and examples for creating new headings efficiently and according to standard. The new Sears on WilsonWeb database delivers all material from the 19th Edition in print (2007), an abundance of new headings on important subjects 2007 through today, plus new headings in regular updates.


 

  WilsonWeb Enhancements 

  • ReadSpeaker “text to speech” converter for full-text articles! Listen to articles as streaming audio, or download as MP3s for playback later.

  • New “My WilsonWeb” profiles. Users can maintain their own sub-account within WilsonWeb, creating and managing saved searches, search histories, email alerts, and RSS feeds.

  • Article translations. Electronic conversion into Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Russian, Arabic and now Dutch!

  • RSS feed for new search results. Configure RSS updates via links on the Search Results or Search History pages.

  • New “Content Discovery Keys” on Search Results page. Convenient links launch related searches, allow users to narrow results by author, subject, publication year, document type, and database (for multiple-database searches), or select previous searches from the Recent Searches listing.
