Order now and you receive the hardcover main volume (2006) now, and three annual paper supplements in 2007, 2008, and 2009.

A print subscription to Fiction Catalog, 15th Edition brings you entries for more than 8,000 books in the main volume (2006), and more than 2,400 new titles in annual paperbound supplements published 2007 through 2009.

Each volume includes the following:

  • Author Alphabet This section lists works of fiction in alphabetical order by the last name of the author or by title, if it is the main entry.

  • A descriptive summary and, in most instances, an excerpt from a review conclude the entry. References are made from variant forms of authors’ names, from names of joint authors, and from names of editors or compilers of short story collections.

  • Analytical entries, are identified by the word "In," are made for parts of composite works. Analytical entries heighten the usefulness of Fiction Catalog by expanding access to the library’s collections.

  • Title and Subject Index. Each book is listed under title, followed by the name of the author under which the entry for the book will be found. You can also find books listed under their main subjects or themes, and under headings for genre, form, or literary technique, with specific headings for persons, places, events, historical periods, lifestyles, and legendary characters. Subject headings and subject cross references are printed in capital letters.
