A. Senior High School Library Catalog recommends books for students in grades 9 through 12.

Q. What about other grade levels?

A. Children’s Catalog covers pre-school through 6th grade, and Middle and Junior High School Library Catalog covers 5th through 9th grades. Public Library and Fiction Catalog cover works recommended for adults. 

Q. How does the five-year print service for Senior High School Library Catalog work?

A. Every five years, a new clothbound volume is published covering 5,000 to 6,000 recommended titles. Each year for the next four years, a paperback supplement is issued covering newly published titles.

Q. If I subscribe to the print edition in the middle of the five-year service cycle, what do I receive?

A. You receive the clothbound volume, each of the paperback supplements that have already been published, and future supplements in the five-year service.

Q. If I have the print edition, why do I need the online version?

A. The online version provides easy, precise searching, remote access, instant checking of library holdings, simultaneous searching with other WilsonWeb databases, review excerpts from Book Review Digest Plus, and other important advantages.

Q. If I subscribe to the online version, is the information in the printed supplements in the database?

A. Yes, the new lists of recommended titles are seamlessly incorporated into the Senior High School Library Catalog database for easy searching.
