Writing a speech is a difficult
assignment, so much so that those in the public eye hire one or more staff
to help. The final product is not always easy to locate. Students who wish
to review or read 29 history making speeches from 2002-2003 will find them
here. Sections include "War and Foreign Policy," which covers the
development of the Bush administration's foreign policy in response to the
terrorist attacks of 2001; and "Homeland Security," which covers the
multitude of discussions and speeches that stemmed from the creation of the
Department of Homeland Security. Other sections cover "Freedom of Speech,"
"The Welfare of Children" and "The Spirit of Adventure." These topics offer
different opinions about these issues and provide perspectives for debate,
making them not only extremely useful to those teaching civics and U.S.
History courses, but also for debate teams. Recommended. |
